Hello there,
How do you feel about wasting time?
Like properly wasting time?
I am asking because mid-week I felt a tad bit overwhelmed, or let’s just call a spade a spade: super overwhelmed.
Why?
I had forgotten to take the breaks I know I need. Breaks where I do absolutely nothing. Breaks where I waste time. Properly waste it.
I know I need them, I know they are good for me, I even have years of practice taking them, and I think science will back me up on breaks like this being good for us.
However, periodically I forget!
I somehow convince myself that I can swap the time-wasting breaks for other stuff I enjoy, like hanging out with friends or working on the Gatsby Silly Site Challenge.
But I am also getting quicker at understanding what is happening and managed to cancel my whole Friday.
I strolled around the neighborhood, bought a new notebook, and sat in my favorite home away from home: Vespa (the local coffee shop).
And just as I expected, the feeling of overwhelm disappeared entirely.
So back to the question:
How do you feel about wasting time?
Until next week,
Benedicte.
PS: No one opted to let me celebrate them with a custom made confetti site, but I decided to celebrate two people non the less! The offer still stands, just saying.
